Willa Briggs' images of Jersey Cows reflects the part of Humboldt County where she lives. Ferndale, is an area of small farms where single families still tend their animals on open pasture lands. Her work deals with domestic animals and their connection to this land.
Willa has a BFA from Moore College of Art and MFA from San José State University. She teaches art for College of the Redwoods at their satellite campus on the Hupa Indian Reservation.
