Katherine began her residency by selecting two life drawings from an archive of almost 600. She scanned these into the computer, composed, colorized and layered to achieve a fresco effect.
At the time of her residency Katherine was teaching life drawing, painting and digital painting at Cañada College in Redwood City, California where she has been faculty since 1988. Katherine has a MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
