Art is what I do to process the world around me. It is generally a focused activity, done alone in my studio. I am the sole decision maker regarding where ideas travel and when a work is resolved.

Design is what I do to shape an idea for public consumption. It is generally done in collaboration with others who have a specific communication objective. In this regard, design is a collaborative activity.
